I just lately frequented my alma mater, Loyola University in New Orleans, to mentor a group of pupils who are doing their element to elevate recognition about environmental racism and degradation.
I resolved to drive what several would time period as the “scenic route” via Louisiana. The landscapes have been attractive until eventually I turned on to River Highway, just south of Baton Rouge, where by I observed myself in an region regarded as “Cancer Alley.”

Lindy Brasher, of Monroe, Louisiana, earned her master’s degree in spiritual training at Loyola College in New Orleans and is now pursuing a health practitioner of ministry diploma in Christian spirituality at Fordham University.
